Membership
Our goal in Batucaxé is to learn, explore and perform rhythms and dance inspired by the traditional and contemporary music of Brazil. We offer a joyful opportunity to be part of the music, regardless of your level of expertise. Through your participation and commitment, we hope that Batucaxé will bring you a sense of joy and pride, as a member of a diverse organization whose purpose it is to grow, celebrate and inspire.
Membership is tuition-based and includes:
- Weekly group rehearsals and regular sectional rehearsals
- Opportunities to perform throughout the year
- Use of instruments
- Instructional reference materials (lyrics, CDs, music charts etc.)
- Access to our resource library of CDs, DVDs, books and other educational materials
- Culture Night presentations
- Band t-shirt
- Significant discounts on the purchase of your own instruments.
Batucaxé is carrying on a tradition of building community through drumming and dancing. We invite you to be a part of this amazing experience, to participate in the passion, joy, self-expression and freedom.
