Batucaxé's
weekly dance classes are a great opportunity to learn to move to the
rhythms of Brazil. Featuring live drumming by Batucaxé's percussionists,
you'll feel the
electricity of samba and
the rolling waves of samba reggae, as
well as learning about other traditional and contemporary dance styles.
We hold
weekly classes for all levels of experience and fitness. Our classes
offer a supportive, encouraging environment, with plenty of assistance
to help you grow both in your movement and in your appreciation of
the music.
If you are inspired by these dance styles you might consider becoming
a member of Batucaxé's Community
Group. These dancers meet regularly to perfect choreography to perform
throughout the year.

* (NOTE We will not be holding our weekly 5-6:15 dance class on Nov 9 due to the All Souls Procession)
Classes
are held at "Rhythm Industry," 1013 S. Tyndall Ave. (map)
$12 Walk-in (always welcome), or prepay $40 for 4 weeks (use any time).
