Tucson's Earth Day Festival is always a great opportunity to see and hear Batucaxé perform for an important cause. This year's theme was "All Species Deserve a Great Habitat." There was an eclectic parade, followed by dancing, eating, and a variety of earth-friendly activities sponsored by organizations who are committed to preserving the environment. The 2009 festival included a model solar electric car competition for middle school students and an alternative fuel vehicle show. Photos by Paul Chinnock.
