Mestre Ray is the founder of the Oficina da Capoeira in Baltimore, Maryland. He learned capoeira from many great mestres in Minas Gerais, graduating as a contramestre of the city of Belo Horizonte in 1989. Batucaxe was proud to be able to present his workshop to members of our group and students from around Tucson as well.
